FEAST OF THE ASCENSION, Thursday, May 25 at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem. This is a shared celebration of the area Episcopal Churches. In addition to Trinity, Easton, participating parishes include the Cathedral, Trinity in Bethlehem, St. Brigid’s in Nazareth, and St. Andrew’s, Bethlehem. The service will also feature a combined choir. The Rev. Cn. Anne Kitch will celebrate and the Rev. Nick Knisely will preach.

Church School Notice: there will be no Church School Sunday May 28th (Memorial Day Weekend.) The last day of Church School for the year will be June 4th.

Do you know any graduates? Please give names of graduating seniors to the parish office so we may pray for them on Pentecost Sunday.

Knitting for Seamen: Make someone’s Christmas merrier when they are on the high seas and away from family at Christmas. The Diocesan Convention will again be colleting hats, vests, scarves and socks to send to the Christmas-at-Sea program of the Seamen’s Church Institute. You can get the patterns at www.seamenschurch.org.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game – Trinity is planning a trip to see the Reading Phillies on Saturday, June 10. Game time is 7 pm., with fireworks after the game. We will meet in the church parking lot and car pool to the game. Tickets are $7.00. Sign up in the rear of the church at the Mission Tables. Also, please see or contact Pete Olieman (pnolieman@rcn.com) if you are interested.

BAKERS NEEDED: Volunteers are needed to supply baked or store bought goods for both the 8:00 and 10:30 coffee hours. Please see the sign up sheet in Conine Hall above the coffee pots.

Prayer Companions A member of the Spirituality Circle is available after each service to sit in prayerful companionship with anyone who desires it. You will find one of us seated in the front pew in front of the pulpit after the Saturday evening and both Sunday morning services.

Readers Needed for Pentecost: We are looking for readers to take part in the services at both 8 & 10:30 on Pentecost Sunday (June 4). If you can read a lesson in a language other than English (French, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Japanese, Swahilii, you name it!) and would like to deepen our worship that day, please sign up in the rear of the church and speak to Fr. Andy.

NEW LIST for ProJeCt Food Pantry: Items currently in need: canned potatoes, beef stew, 12 or 18 oz. jars of jelly, & soup. Cash donations are always gladly accepted every – $1 donated will purchase approximately $15 worth of food from Second Harvest. Donations of food may be put in the basket at the rear of church.

1 DATE STILL OPEN FOR FLOWER SPRAY: Flower SpraysJune 11. Sprays are $40 and Lynn’s will bill you directly.

Vestry Appoints Member to Fill Unexpired Term: The Vestry voted to fill the unexpired term created by Bert Weaver’s move to Philadelphia. Joe Corona will fill the spot until the next election in November.

Third Street Alliance Seeks Part Time Learning Center Help: In the Afternoon Infant Room Hours: 12:00—6:00 p.m. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma and at least 2 years of documented full time experience with children. Job Responsibilities: assisting teachers in the infant classroom (supervision of children/program implementation), classroom coverage for staff breaks and staff meetings. Salary: Based on education and experience. AlsoThe Third Street Alliance is always looking for volunteers in our Infant room, as well as other classrooms, so if you know of anyone interested in caring for infants on a volunteer basis, we would appreciate their help.
